Terms of Service

1. What TradeJournal is

TradeJournal is a record-keeping and analytics tool for your own trading activity. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and it does not execute trades or connect to your brokerage account beyond read-only statement imports you configure yourself.

2. Use at your own risk

Numbers shown reflect what you import or enter; we do not verify accuracy with brokers. Analytics (win rate, profit factor, drawdown, simulations) are computed from that data and can be wrong if the underlying data is wrong. Keep your own broker statements as the source of truth. Trading involves substantial risk of loss; nothing in this app is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

3. No guarantees

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we cannot promise zero downtime, zero data loss, or that features won't change. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.

4. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Use a unique password. You must be legally old enough to enter contracts in your jurisdiction to use the service.

5. Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer the service, abuse the API or contact form, attempt to access other users' data, upload malicious content, or impersonate other users. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this.

6. Your data

Your trades, notes, and screenshots remain yours. You can export them or delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy for details on storage, retention, and your GDPR rights.

7. Pricing

TradeJournal is a paid membership: 5 Swiss francs (CHF) a month or 50 Swiss francs (CHF) a year, after a 7-day free trial that needs no card. Payments are processed by Stripe; TradeJournal never sees or stores your card. Prices include or add VAT as your country requires, as shown at checkout.

Renewal and cancelling. A membership renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Membership → Manage billing; it then stays active until the end of the period already paid, and is not renewed. Payments already made are not refunded, except where the law of your country requires it.

Your data stays yours. If your trial ends or your membership lapses, nothing is deleted: you can still sign in, read and export everything you stored, free of charge. Accounts created before paid memberships started keep free access for life.

Price changes are announced inside the app and by email at least 30 days before they apply to your next renewal.

8. Changes to these terms

Material updates will be announced inside the app at least 14 days in advance. The “Last updated” date above is the source of truth.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction is Switzerland, mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence remain unaffected.
